The female announcer’s voice at the end is SO ANNOYING and she sounds like such a moron….just makes me cringe.

Is the song at the end of the commercial different than the one at the beginning? What is it called if so?

What the hell does Ellen Page have to do with Cisco?
Also, “when I was a kid?” WTF? She’s like 22.

what’s adoring about it are the schoolgirl in fashion glasses and the little girl’s expression in the cow barn…..priceless.

about an hour ago, i read that ellen page is a canadian actress from nova scotia. i had never heard of her till then. i had seen her cisco commercials many times over the last few months, and i decided to find out who she is.

This commercial is confusing to me. I can’t understand why such a bland character named “Ellen” would be used to promote Cisco products. What is her link to Cisco? I don’t get it.

Hi I’m Ellen Page, I sound monotone and people love my acting although there is zero range.

In China the children go to school by day and at night they teleconference American children under bright lights.

I like the commercial, cute and clever… like Ellen… and perhaps that’s as far as i can take the comparison.

janderson2000 August 12th, 2010 at 02:05
lol 12 hour time difference and 100% language difference.
Well, maybe they’re learning English. We should probably be learning Chinese instead. lol
BTW, Cisco Telepresence is pretty damn amazing when you see it in person, so maybe Ellen was impressed. Who knows….

this is a horrible commercial. they used a pathos style of advertisement that has failed them on every aspect of this commercial. Cisco is some awesome piece of technology yes, but creativity in this advertisement seems lacked.
-
thom803 August 17th, 2010 at 08:39
Uh…time difference. A very basic concept.
Also, Ellen Page is doing Cisco commercials? Why? Ms. Indie Film star doing hawking hardware?

I do believe you are a bit jaded. I found the commercial to be very clever, artsy and informative. I come from an age where there were no TV, video, tape recorders, car radios. It’s all in the perspective that formed you. The commercial is about technolgy, Ellen Page is about eye candy, and that is my perspective
